Other Orthopaedic
Surgery

Orthopaedic surgery is the surgery of the musculoskeletal system, in particular the bones, cartilage, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Dr David Kieser performs most orthopaedic procedures, including the follow listed below.

Knee Arthroscopy

Torn cartilage or ligaments within the knee can cause pain, instability or a catching/locking feeling. David performs knee arthroscopies to repair or remove torn fragments and to reconstruct the knee.

Nerve Decompression Surgery

Nerves in the arms or legs can be trapped and squeezed at anatomical choke points such as the elbow or wrist. David performs nerve decompression surgery, such as carpal tunnel decompression or cubital tunnel decompression to alleviate the pain, tingling and weakness caused by the compression.

Tendon Repair or Reconstruction

The tendons link a muscle to the bone. These can tear or rupture resulting in pain and weakness. David offers tendon repair surgery when the tendon is still viable and reconstruction when it needs to be supplemented with additional strength.

Implant Removal

Often metal is used to hold a bone stable while it heals. However, once the bone has healed the metal itself can cause pain or irritation. David offers metalware removal for patients who feel their metal is prominent or causing them pain or discomfort.
